In my view, the rise of artificial intelligence is not something to fear, but rather an opportunity to embrace. In the lecture by Paul Simmons said, "work with AI, not fight it", really resonated with me. In the lecture, Simmons emphasized that AI should be seen as a tool to complement human skills rather than replace them. Instead of viewing AI as a job threat, we should work with it, allowing it to take over repetitive tasks and free up time for more creative and strategic endeavors. This mindset shift can help us increase productivity and drive innovation in ways we couldn’t have imagined before.
One of the areas where I’ve noticed AI making a significant impact is in industries like illustration. AI-powered tools have drastically reduced production costs and sped up the creative process. What once required hours or even days of detailed work can now be completed in minutes, giving artists more room to experiment and explore different creative options. For businesses, this means more affordable and diverse creative solutions. While there are concerns about AI taking over jobs, I believe that new roles will emerge as a result of this technology. If we adapt and focus on acquiring the skills needed to work alongside AI, I’m confident there will be enough opportunities for everyone in the evolving job market
