Listening to Hannah Bond speak about the importance of social media, particularly Instagram, really made me reconsider the way I view my online presence. As a creative, we often hear that having a portfolio is a must, and while that's true, Hannah emphasized how a well-curated Instagram account has become just as essential. She mentioned that not having an account could already put you at a disadvantage in today’s industry, where visibility and engagement are key. It made me realize that Instagram is not just a platform for showcasing finished work but a way to build a narrative around your journey, connect with others, and establish your personal brand.

Hannah’s insights were a wake-up call, showing how social media is no longer a "bonus" but an integral tool in growing a creative career. It's not just about posting pictures; it’s about showcasing your creative process, interacting with your audience, and engaging in a visual conversation that goes beyond just what’s in your portfolio. For me, it was a reminder that social media can be just as powerful as your physical portfolio, if used thoughtfully, it becomes a dynamic asset that helps to amplify your voice and your craft.
